Dan Ormond, specialising in NZ marketing, sustainability, public awareness

Dan has extensive experience as a public relations professional. He has worked in senior communications and lobbying roles in the public and private sector and developed skills in NZ marketing through academic study and commercial experience. He has been an Ideas Shop partner since 2001.

Dan is highly experienced in sustainability research and all areas of public relations, including sustainability communications. His passion is working with innovative professional service firms to develop and implement their communications plans and enhance their corporate reputations.

Dan’s extensive media and business networks allow him to make connections for clients that raise public awareness and enhance and develop their businesses.

He counts the time he worked on the launch of Windows 95 in the UK and development of the Department of Labour Workplace Productivity Report among his career highlights.

Dan has a Bachelor of Commerce in services marketing and market research. His NZ marketing training gives him the skills to run evaluations and market research, helping clients to better understand their stakeholder needs and develop effective communications plans.
